Eventful Napa Valley Harvest Season

From August through October, winemakers and their co-workers work overtime to pick grapes at the peak of ripeness and submerge them into fermenting barrels, so they can begin to creating their bottled masterpieces. The fall harvest is our very favorite time of year, for obvious reasons. Not only do we have an excuse to travel to some beautiful vineyards, we also get to watch and participate in the annual wine harvest, mainly by eating and drinking our way through the many delights that the fruits of the earth have to offer.

Because it’s now peak harvest season, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite events in Napa Valley. We’ve also included a description of the events and dates, so you can decide what you want to check out when it’s convenient for your schedule. It’s peak season for these vineyards, so do plan a little in advance to ensure lodging and tickets.

For a full listing of all fall harvest events in Napa (and there are a lot) check out Napa Valley Vintners Wine Calendar.
