We Heart “The Wine Show”

If you missed Season 1 of The Wine Show featuring the handsome, charming, and witty Welsh and English duo, Matthew Rhys (“The Americans”) and Matthew Goode (“The Good Wife”), not to despair! The Hulu series, about the people and stories behind some of the world’s most fascinating wines, is on to Season 2 beginning December 1.

This season, Rhys will take a back seat as a consultant, updating us all on the latest wine gadgets from London.  We’re sad to see Rhys go, because there has been nothing more fun that watching the Matthews (Goodey and Rhysey) laugh their way through wine and the European countryside. So here’s an ode to Rhys, with a few LOL blooper outtakes we snagged from Vulture:

We were a bit less chuffed learning of Rhys’s departure when we heard who was to replace him on Season 2. The equally dashing British actor James Purefoy will join the fun as Goode’s co-pilot from a villa in the South of France. And we can’t wait to see what’s in store.

We’re sure they’ll continue to taste and talk about wines that the host of the show and wine expert Joe Fattorini serves them from famed vineyards and secret spots around the world. We look forward to seeing these British gents (as Hulu describes it) “kayaking and caving in the Ardeche, rounding up bulls on horseback in the Camargue, baking in Lyon, and even cooking their own lunch in the sweltering kitchens of the legendary Palme d’Or restaurant in Cannes.”

If you love wine but don’t know much about it, we guarantee The Wine Show will help you learn a little bit more about it, while being thoroughly entertained.
